How Beyond the Ball is Structured
Beyond the Ball operates through two connected organisations:
Beyond the Ball CIC (Community Interest Company)
-
This is our social impact arm, focused on delivering community programmes that improve access, wellbeing, and inclusion in football.
-
The CIC is asset-locked, which means all funds are reinvested into our community programmes and cannot be taken out for private profit.
-
This is the entity we use to deliver projects supported by grants, public funding, and community partners.

Beyond the Ball Ltd
-
This is our trading arm, which provides services such as coach education, workshops, consultancy, and commercial partnerships.
-
Any profit made by the Ltd can be donated to the CIC to support its community programmes.
-
This helps us stay sustainable — combining grant funding with commercial income so we can reach more people.

Why We Use This Model
This structure allows us to:
-
Keep community impact at the heart of everything we do.
-
Access grant funding and deliver programmes through the CIC.
-
Generate commercial income through the Ltd, which strengthens our financial sustainability.
-
Be fully transparent with funders, partners, and participants about how we operate.

Commercial Work (Ltd) → Profits → CIC → Community Programmes
Grants & Donations → CIC → Community Programmes
